Weather Station Closeup

This site is powered by a Davis Intruments Vantage Pro2 Plus personal weather station, supplemented with additional instruments. The station consists of an anemometer, rain gauge, thermometer, humidity sensor, solar radiation meter, UV sensor, and Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield. Additionally a Boltek LD-250 Lightning Detector provides lightning detection/mapping within approximately 375 miles from this stations' location. A 4XEM 4X-IP7330 web camera is mounted immediately below the station and is utilized for still pictures and time-lapse video. It faces North towards St Louis.

Data is collected and managed using Weather Display software and published to the Internet via this site. Additional data streams are provided to other sites and projects such as Weather Underground and Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP). Radar images are generated using GRLevel3 with radar, lighting, and other data provided by Allison House.

We are located in Imperial, Missouri, about 30 minutes south of downtown St. Louis.
